She was predeceased by: her husband Maurice McGahee; her parents, Ruth Johnson Lamb and Harry Edward Lamb; and her pets, Cricket, Oscar and Scruffy.
She is survived by: her sister Harriett "Jerry" Lamb Evans; her nephew Harry Lamb Evans (Michelle); her great-nephew Rabun Thomas Evans; her stepson Berny McGahee (Paula); and her stepgrandson Neal McGahee.
Per Sydney's request, the family strongly suggests that, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions honoring Sydney McGahee be made to Thomas Jefferson Academy, 2264 Hwy 1 N, Louisville GA 30434.
