She was predeceased by: her husband William "Clem" Franklin Clements; her parents, Mattie Rabun Chance and Ross Edgar Chance; and her brother-in-law Melvin Williams. She is survived by: her daughter Colleen Williams (Bruce); her grandson Scott Williams (Joel Harris); and her siblings, Frank Chance (Beth), Grace Williams and Ed Chance (Jane). She is also survived by family, she also leaves behind nieces, nephews, other extended family, and many friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 23rd 2024 from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the James Funeral Home (630 N Main St, Wrens, GA 30833). A funeral service was held on Monday, December 23rd 2024 from 2:00 PM to 2:45 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, December 23rd 2024 from 3:00 PM to 3:15 PM at the Wrens Memorial Cemetery.
The family also suggests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Shirley's honor be made to Keysville Nursing Home & Rehabilitation Center, PO Box 220, Keysville GA 30816. Shirley Chance Clements will be remembered not only for her contributions to her community but also for the warmth and light she brought into the lives of others.
