He was predeceased by: his parents, Emily Bragg Burke Lambert and Lester Burke. He is survived by: his wife Rose Mary Prickett Burke; his children, Gene Burke Jr. (Tina), Bob Burke (Angie), Michael Burke (Melonie), Jeffrey Burke, Jenny Gonsalves, Debra Coleman and Donna Johnson; and his siblings, Gearldeen Burke, James Burke, Brenda Holland, Bernice Bragg (Rufus), Rickie Perryman and Elmer Lambert (Nicole). He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other extended family and friends.
Because of the family's concern for public health and safety during this COVID-19 pandemic, the family requests that social distancing and other safety precautions be followed.
