He was predeceased by: his wife Bertha C. Medeiros. He is survived by: his children, Paula Templeton (Michael), John J. Medeiros Jr. (Diane), Kimberly Hartley, Daniel Spivey, Joseph Spivey, David Spivey and Peter Spivey; his siblings, Joseph A. Medeiros (Joyce) and Mary Elizabeth Medeiros; his grandchildren, Jason Templeton, Eric Templeton, Amie Kelley (Chris), Michael Medeiros, Robert Medeiros, Taylor Hartley, Grayson Cowart, Wyatt Spivey and Clayton Spivey; and his great grandchildren, Brianna, Jason Jr., Caine, Kylie, Alyssa, Haylie, Myla and Maddie. He is also survived by other extended family and many friends.
Because of the family's respect and concern for public health and safety during this COVID-19 pandemic, the family requests that social distancing and other safety precautions be followed. The wearing of face masks is strongly encouraged during any gathering.
