He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Cato Gay and Frank Gay; and his siblings, Jimmy Gay and Carol Ann Amerson. He is survived by: his children, Willie Gay (Christine) and Cathy Gay; his grandchildren, Amy Contreras (Hector), Austin Gay, Bobby Gay (Haylee), Will Gay, Alex Mack (Victor) and Bridgett Mack; his great grandchildren, Aiden Contreras, Vanessa Contreras, Jahziel Contreras and Jordan Browning Jr.; and his siblings, David Gay, Lora Lee Adams, Tammy Welch and Susan Prickett. He is also survived by nephews, nieces, other extended family and many friends.
Because of the financial hardship of a prolonged illness, the family respectfully requests that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made directly to James Funeral Home, PO Box 588, Wrens GA 30833.
