It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Elaine Gay of Wrens, Georgia, who passed away on December 22, 2020, at the age of 67, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Annie Jane Paradise Chastain and James William Chastain; and her brother William "Yogi" Chastain. She is survived by: her husband Eugene "Gene" Gay; her sons, Joshua Gay (Elizabeth) and Matthew Gay (Meredith); her grandchildren, Nora-Kate Gay, Gracen Gay, Nila Gay, Riley Gay and Marlee Gay; and her siblings, Charles Chastain (Cindy) and Colleen Chastain. She is also survived by in-laws, nieces, nephews, and a multitude of friends.
Because of the family's respect and concern for public health and safety during this COVID-19 pandemic, the family requests that social distancing and other safety precautions be followed. The wearing of face masks is strongly encouraged.
