She was predeceased by: her parents, Sallie Lou Gay Newsome and George Thomas "Shot" Newsome; and her sister Joyce Newsome. She is survived by: her daughter Darlene Austin (Gene); her grandchildren, Brannen Austin (Amy) and Gina Austin Ergle (Eric); her great grandchildren, Lily Ergle, Laynee Ergle, Cooper Austin and Daughton Brogdon; and her brother Emory Newsome (Phyllis).
