With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Wayne Thomas of Woodstock, Georgia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 18, 2024 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his wife Carol Jean Thomas; and his son Kevin Thomas. He is survived by: his sisters, Molly Edmondson and Sara Edmondson; his sister-in-law Shirl Brogdon; his daughter-in-law Donna Thomas; and his grandchildren, Johnny Thomas (Deb), Susan Christlieb, Elizabeth Allen (Todd), Atha Thomas (Leta), Heather Acker (Andrew), Anna Teal (Jordan), Emily Mullins (Wil), Taylor Barrett, Justin Barrett, Autumn Johnston (Nick), Emma Martin (Austin), Elise Palmer (Brandon), Jonah Thomas (Addie) and Noah Thomas. He is also survived by 20 great grandchildren.

“Atha, your dad was a wonderful blessing to me. Being with him in the choir was a privilege. I loved his warmth, humor and that infectious chuckle (the Mexican dinner and movie "Free Solo" experience was a hoot as well). The love he bore for his family and of course Carol was evident, and he blessed the rest of us with his always-on-hand stories and jokes. Although I haven't been around recently, I want you to know I loved him and miss him. - Ed Heyer”
