She was predeceased by: her parents, Lester Maddox and Virginia Maddox. She is survived by: her husband George Carnes; her daughter Paige Burns; her grandsons, Wesley Burns (Sydney) and Evan Burns; and her brother Lester Maddox Jr.. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, October 4th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Woodstock Funeral Home, Inc. (8855 Main St, Woodstock, GA 30188). A funeral service was held on Friday, October 4th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location. A committal service was held on Friday, October 4th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the Arlington Memorial Park (201 Mount Vernon Hwy, Atlanta, GA 30328).
