With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Roger Lawrence Durst of Woodstock, Georgia, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Roger left this world on January 17, 2025 at the age of 88, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Sam Durst and Mabel Durst (Tolrud); his brothers, Ernest of Austin, Minnesota, David of Provo, Utah, Douglas of Rochester, John, Bud and Stucky of Pine Island; and also Lucille.
He is survived by: his cousin Nissedal; his wife Marlene Schroeter of John's Lutheran Church; his sons, Brian (Kay) of Woodstock and Brent (Loretta) of Lake Stevens, Washington.; and his grandchildren, Ethan, Samantha, Connor of Georgia, Willow and Mya of Washington.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church (1208 Rose Creek Dr, Woodstock, GA 30189). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorials in lieu of flowers are welcome to either Bethel Lutheran Church, Good Shepherd Lutheran Church or a charity of the donor's choosing are appreciated.
