We are sad to announce that on October 6, 2024, Richard Akin of Woodstock, Georgia, born in Albany, Georgia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Richard shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Richard farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Akin and Elizabeth Stanfield Akin; his wife Peggy Anne Akin; and his sister Betty N. Wallace. He is survived by: his children, Kenneth Akin of Norcross and Rhonda Johnston of Evans; his granddaughter Natalie Cobb (Adam); and his great grandchildren, Thomas and Luke. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
