He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Bland and Myrtle Bland; and his sisters, Katherine Routt (Bland) and Wilma Routt (Bland). He is survived by: his significant other Rebecca Sue Bland (Becky); his daughters, Melinda Sue (Mindy) and Jennifer Sue (Jenni); his grandchildren, Sarai (Dean), Williams (Kelley Williams), Katie (Dean), Sproles (Ryan Sproles) and Jedidiah Burris (Jed); and his great grandchildren, Graves, Dean Williams, Walker and Millie Sproles.

Visitation was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Poole Funeral Home & Cremation Services (1970 Eagle Dr, Woodstock, GA 30189). A memorial service was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
