He is survived by: his wife Louella Stephens; his daughters, Peggy Sanders (Lester) and Joyce Stephens; his grandson Aaron Sanders (Tara); and his sisters, Ruth Reed (Deward) and Ann. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Mill Creek Baptist Church.
