She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Dorothy D. Labitue-Hills and Walter T. Hills; her children, Vernon (Celestine), Asenath (Harold) and Arthur II (Vivian); her grandchildren, Askani, Michael, Yolanda, Valerie, Barrett and Rachel; and her great grandchildren, Jacob, Jasmine and Barrett Joaquin.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Suburban Funeral Chapel (2336 Meeting Street Rd, North Charleston, SC 29405). Viewing was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Morris Street Baptist Church (25 Morris St, Charleston, SC 29403). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
