She was predeceased by: her parents, Eddie Dewberry and Irene Williams; her siblings, Edith Bell Heath, Lucy Lee Couch (Thomas), Emma Ruth Carter (Gene), Sherry Williams and Dwight Williams; and her brother-in-law Samuel Epps Jr..

She is survived by: her children, Markevias Carter and Kaniya Dewberry; her grandchildren, Lyria, Celebrity, Temia, Markevias Jr. and Markevion; and her siblings, Wille Dewberry (Virginia), John Lee Williams (Blondine), Kenneth Williams, James Dewberry, Eddie Rene Hayes (Danny), Ann Dewberry and Warkenia Epps. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
