She was predeceased by: her parents, Austin Preston Gilmer and Lula Pulliam Gilmer; her husband Edward Warren Poss; and her brother Bobby Gilmer. She is survived by: her daughters, Elaine McGarity (Charles) of Winterville and Marsha Paul (Jeff) of Lexington; and her grandchildren, Jay McGarity (Melissa), Tim McGarity (Ashley), Sarah Sanders (Stewart) and Andy Paul. She is also survived by four great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Winterville United Methodist Church.
