She was predeceased by: her parents, Vadie Burroughs and Tishie Burroughs of Commerce, GA.; her husband Lewis Neal Hix of Commerce, GA.; and her siblings, Herman, Frances, Helen and Peggy.
She is survived by: her children, Jeff Hix (Caryn Demorest) of Athens, Doug Hix (Kim Hix) of Simpsonville, S. C. and Sharon Hix (Tina Hix) of Winterville; her grandchildren, Zachery Lewis Hix and Kelsie Elizabeth Hix of Simpsonville, S. C; and her sister Martha Jean Sweetser of Athens, GA. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
