He is survived by: his brother Michael Burnette; his cousin Donna Jean Best; his nieces, Sharon Smith (David Smith) and Marsha Hatch (Pete Hatch); his nephew Jonathon Burnette; and his great-nephews, Jake and Colton Smith.
Visitation was held on Sunday, March 16th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Lord & Stephens Funeral Homes (4355 Lexington Rd, Athens, GA 30605). A funeral service was held on Sunday, March 16th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Sunday, March 16th 2025 at the Athens Memory Gardens (5195 Lexington Rd, Athens, GA 30605).
