He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilburn Burdette and Ruth Phillips Burdette; his brother Alan Burdett; and his siblings-in-law, Henry Riley and Linda Burdett.
He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Diane Boyd Burdette; his children, Janet Wright, Shirley Ingram, Lee Burdette (Anastacia), Brian Burdette (Rosie) and Ronda Murphy (Ryan); his grandchildren, Jessica, Andrew, Aiden, David, Ansley, Matthew and Amber; his great grandchildren, Colton and Grace; his siblings, Jean Riley, Phillip Burdette and Roy Burdett; and his sister-in-law Billie Anne Burdett.
