She was predeceased by: her parents, Claude Carroll and Florrie West Carroll; and her husband Frank Mitchell. She is survived by: her children, Michael "Mike" Mitchell (Molly) and Vickie Mitchell; her grandchildren, Nathan Mitchell (Tiffany) and Ruth DeBorde (Steven); her great grandchildren, Rylee Mitchell, Libby Mitchell, Houston Mitchell, Evie DeBorde, Ira DeBorde and James DeBorde; her sister Ernestine Hamrick; and her close friend Maria Cruz.
