It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Marion Everett Holmes of Winston, Georgia, born in Atlanta, Georgia, who passed away on June 5, 2023, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Holmes and Nancy Holmes; and his siblings, Eugene Holmes, Bobby Holmes, Jerry Holmes, Virginia Rice and Fay Robinson.

He is survived by: his children, Marion Everett Holmes, Jr. (Carol), Michael Stephen Holmes, Deborah Diane Connolly (Dave), Janet Elaine Bryant (Robbie) and Bonnie Lynn Gray (Tim); and his siblings, Ronnie Holmes and Nancy McGahee. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild.
