He is survived by: his wife Cheryl Edwana Carpenter of Winston, Georgia; his daughter Kristen; his son-in-law Butch Dennis of Riverview, Florida; and his sons, Jarod (Kelly Carpenter), Kevin (Shannon Smith) and Keith Smith of Douglasville, Georgia. He is also survived by one brother; one sister; several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
