He is survived by: his wife Janis Barnett Atkinson; his children, Christopher James and Katherine James; his granddaughter Isabelle Cruz; his siblings, Samuel Lee Atkinson and Gladys Atkinson; his father-in-law Phillip Barnett, Sr.; and his siblings-in-law, Phillip Barnett, Jr. and Cheryl Barnett.
