He was predeceased by: his parents, William Guy Garner and Betina Cole Garner. He is survived by: his children, Austin Guy Garner and Caitlin Garner Hobbs; his pet Ruger; his wife Penny Yarbrough Garner; his son-in-law Kane; and his sisters, Pam Emerson (Jim) and Sherry Bishop (Mike).

Visitation was held on Saturday, September 28th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Rosehaven Chapel (8640 Rose Ave, Douglasville, GA 30134). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 28th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
