He was predeceased by: his parents, Fletcher Sander Strickland and Lola Mae Kimberley Strickland; his wife Ludie Mae Huddleston Strickland; his sons, Hubert Frank Strickland and Richard William Strickland; his granddaughters, Cheyenne Strickland and Pearley Mae Strickland; and his sisters, Shirley Merle Strickland and Reba Ellen Strickland.
He is survived by: his children, Peggy Ard (Lonnie) of Winston and Ricky Strickland (Cathy) of Temple. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 2nd 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Friendship Baptist Church (9400 GA-166, Douglasville, GA 30187). A burial will be held on Wednesday, October 2nd 2024 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the same location.
