Calvin Phillips Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Calvin Phillips of Winston, Georgia, born in Atlanta, Georgia, who passed away on September 28, 2023, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Amos Phillips and Jewell Phillips (Taylor); his sister Betty Mae Waldrop; his brother-in-law J. E. Waldrop; and his niece Judy Wilson (Waldrop).
He is survived by: his wife Sue Phillips; his children, Robert "Craig" Phillips (Kathie), John Melchiori (Tammy), Jan Lanette Jordan and Debra Gibson; and his brother Taylor Phillips (Betty Jean). He is also survived by seven grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; as well as several cousins, nieces and nephews; as well as many other extended family members and a host of friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in memory of Calvin Phillips to The Romania School Supplies Fund in care of Ephesus Baptist Church, P. O. Box 280, Winston, GA 30187.
