He was predeceased by: his parent John Franklin Hix. He is survived by: his parent Ruby Jewel Bullock Hix; his former wife Mattie Lou Hix; his brother Lewis Hix; his siblings-in-law, Edna Nunn (Raymond) and Geneva Brown (Winfred); his stepdaughter Donna Webber Clayton; his wife Betty Webber Hix of Winder; his children, Marsha Norris (Don Gill) and Gregory Franklin Hix (Teresa) of Conyers; his stepson Michael Webber (Robyn) of South Fork; his sister-in-law Becky Hix; his grandchildren, Clayton Lee Norris (Lourann), Stephanie Hix Smith (Joey) and Sam Gill (Christy); and his great grandchildren, Sadie Marie, Maddie Kate and Ava Grace Smith. He is also survived by extended family and friends.

The family has respectfully requested that in leiu of flowers, donations be made in memory of Mr. Hix to Silverleaf Memory Care in Athens or to Inspiring Hospice due to the loving care that they provided.
