It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Susie Powell of Winder, Georgia, born in Metter, Georgia, who passed away on October 6, 2022, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her daughter Suzzanne Marie Powell; her husband Samuel Edward Powell; her son David Powell; her grandson Jonny Powell; her parents, James Johnson and Addie Johnson; her brother Jake Johnson; and her half-brother Fred Dixon.
She is survived by: her children, Mike Powell (Anne) of Statham, GA, Jim Powell (Jean) of Monroe, GA, Vicki Powell Sorrow (Randy) of Rabun Gap, GA, Susan Powell of Buford, GA and Adna James of Fort Oglethorpe, GA; and her daughter-in-law Genia Powell. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.
