He was predeceased by: his father Leon Champion; and his brother Terry Champion. He is survived by: his children, Jennifer Champion of Middletown, NY and Steve Champion (Heather) of Monroe, NC; his mother Martha Lewis Champion of Canastota, NY; his siblings, John Champion of Chattanooga, NY, Sally Hoek of Antwerp, NY and Sue Carroll of Camden, NY; and his grandchildren, Isaac and Harper Champion.
