She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Wood and Bessie Wood of Statham, GA; her siblings, Shannon Wood, Robert Wood, Hazel Wood Sims and Doug Wood; and her spouse W. B. "Doc" Chandler.

She is survived by: her sister Betty Wood Segars. She is also survived by her family that includes her loving nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great great nieces and nephews.

Donations may be made in Sara's memory to The Greater Vision Fund at Winder First Baptist Church.
