He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Earl McCarty and Margaret Joanne Swisher McCarty; and his siblings, Vickie Jean McCarty, Walter Francis McCarty and Michael Lynns McCarty.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Clark McCarty of Winder; his children, David Thomas (Bobbie) of Winder, Sabrina Hall of Winder and Linda Kay Fricke of Winder; and his brothers, James Joseph McCarty of Athens and Mark Allen McCarty of Habersham. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
