He was predeceased by: his parents, Morgan Boggus and Carlyne Black Boggus; and his siblings, Lavonia Gilleland, Willie Lee Boggus and Kenneth Boggus.

He is survived by: his daughter Sheryl; his son-in-law Johnny Emmett of Winder; and his granddaughter Morgan Howington (Jacob) of Auburn.
