He is survived by: his children, Rickie Parten, Peggy Parten, Janie Vaughn (Steve) and Teresa Prator (Roger); his daughter-in-law Charlotte Parten; his siblings, Beatrice Jackson, Eula Mae White and Junior Parten; and his grandchildren, Melissa McDaniel (Terry), Laura Brooks (Joel), Tiffany Beatty, Clay Parten, Scotty Fowler (Nicole), Michael Fowler (Laura), Jessie Ard (Justin), Jason Dunaway, Autumn Trammel and Cody Trammel (Morgan). He is also survived by 23 great-grandchildren; numerous great-great grandchildren; several great-great-great grandchildren; and a multitude of nieces and nephews.

“I am saddened to hear that RC has passed yet delighted to know that he has Entered his glorious journey to heaven. I was a close friend to him for many years under his leadership as a pastor And personal friend what a fine man of God he is. I had lost touch with him due to the fact that he had left his personal home and gone into a facility. I can see him now as he was in this facility gathering all that would hear him talk about God. He shared his love of his children with me and his love God”
