He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Gettert and Marcia Gettert; and his son Evan Gettert. He is survived by: his wife Allison Long; his daughter Erica Gettert-Cady; his son-in-law Dan Cady; his grandsons, Dayton, Mason, Hayden Cady and Owen Belman; his sisters, Susan Baker (Tony), Linda Keckler (Dan) and Twyla Fuchs (Tom); his nieces, Angela, Nikki, Heather and Tiffany; and his nephew Tony.

The family requests that any donations be made to Evansdream.org , a scholarship fund created in memory of his son, Evan.
