She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Sauls and Mary Sue Magness Sauls; her siblings, Kenneth, Jimmy Sauls and Reba Elrod; and her son Michael Barnes.

She is survived by: her husband Kirk Barnes of Winder; her grandsons, Austin, Cole and Dylan Barnes of Winder; her brother Bobby Sauls of Carrollton; and her sister-in-law Marie Sauls of Winder. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
