He was predeceased by: his daughter Sharon Ann Clendening; his parents, Shelby J. Clendening and Dorothy Driskell Clendening; and his sisters, Wanda Clendening, Mareli Tipper and Lorene Wilson.
He is survived by: his wife Sharon Cole Clendening; his children, Shelby Crider (Doug) and David Clendening (Marry) of Loganville; his brother Wayne Clendening (Angela) of Knoxville, TN; and his grandchildren, Devin O'Neal, Dylan Crider, Kiersten O'Neal, Kyle Crider, Kylie Clendening and Micah Clendening.
The family of Mr. Clendening welcomes flowers or donations may be made in his memory to the Down Syndrome Association of Atlanta at 2204 Lavista Rd NE, Atlanta, GA 30329.
