She was predeceased by: her parents, Homer W. Turner and Ina Marlowe Turner; her husband Dean Hammond; her daughter Kim Hammond Smith; and her siblings, Homer Turner, Jr., Willie Mae Martin, Estell Hayes and Betty Smith.

She is survived by: her daughter Phyllis Skinner (Wesley) of Winder; her grandchildren, Shane Huff (Kari), John Skinner (Kristy), Russell Skinner (Erin) and Brett Skinner (Kendra); and her great grandchildren, Lexey, Weston, Wren, McKenzie, Hampton, Ellery, Harlyn, Kylee, Ada Brett and Kamri.
