She was predeceased by: her siblings, Bill Self, Leon Self, Ronnie Stewart, Edward Self and Elizabeth O'Neal.

She is survived by: her spouse James E. "Pete" Cartmell of Winder; her children, Cynthia "Cindy" Bryan of Winder and Marcus James Cartmell of Dacula; her grandchildren, Jason Copeland (Laura), Timothy Bryan, Annie Bryan, Matthew Cartmell and Michael Cartmell; her great grandchildren, Lexi Copeland and Brynlee Copeland; and her sisters, Betty Hughes (Bill) of Mississippi, Dorothy Sox of South Carolina and Gertrude Barton (Gayle) of Florida.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Winder First Baptist Church Missions, 625 Jefferson Highway, Winder, Georgia 30680.
