He was predeceased by: his parents, Dewey Roosevelt Lovin and Mattie Higgins Lovin; and his siblings, Edwin Lovin (Elizabeth), Billy Lovin and Frances Lovin Beddingfield (Gene).

He is survived by: his sisters, Violet Lovin Mobley (Pete) of Snellville, GA and Charlotte Lovin Brown of Winder, GA; his sister-in-law Sarah Lovin of Winder; and his nieces, Tammy Lovin Snyder (Brent) of Bishop, GA and Teresa Lovin Clayton (Chris) of Talking Rock, GA. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family would like to request donations be sent to the Masonic Children's Home P.O. Box 4183 Macon, GA 31208.
