He was predeceased by: his parents, Ewell Garland and Sarah Elizabeth Roberts McElhannon; and his sister Ruby Faye McElhannon. He is survived by: his wife Susan Stephens McElhannon of Winder; his children, Jonathan (Dena McElhannon) and Natalie (Chip Lewis); his grandchildren, Hamilton McElhannon, Josie McElhannon, Fox Lewis and Rex Lewis; and also Ann Elizabeth McElhannon of Winder, Georgia..
