It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of LaVerne Jones Harwell of Winder, Georgia, who passed away on January 13, 2023, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Franklin "Red" Harwell; her son Gene Harwell; her mother T. W. Jones; her siblings, Thomas Jones, Beecher Jones, Aretha Ann Keesey and Gilbert Jones; and her children-in-law, Kerry Lipscomb and Diane Harwell.
She is survived by: her children, Douglas Harwell (Janie) of Winder, Alice Lipscomb of Winder and David Harwell of Williamson; and her sister-in-law Jane Jones. She is also survived by five grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
The family has requested in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Union Baptist Church at 534 Rockwell Church Road, N.E. Winder, Georgia 30680.
