He is survived by: his wife Jean Toliver Bernius of Winder; his children, Dale Bernius (Tangela) of Statham, Richard Bernius of Tennessee and Debbie Brown of Winder; his brother Roger Bernius; and his grandchildren, Micaela, Jeremy Bernius, Nicole and Courtney Brown.
