We are sad to announce that on March 15, 2025, at the age of 65, Karen Yvonne Cornett of Winder, Georgia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her mothers, Shirley Henry and Georgia. She is survived by: her husband Steve L. Cornett of Winder; her children, Kyle (Whitney Cornett) of Winder and Kimberly (Derek Owen) of Oneonta, AL; her grandchildren, Kynley, Kamden Cornett, Ridley and Rawlings Owen; and her brother Herbie Evans of Athens. She is also survived by loving relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, March 20th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the Memorial Park South Funeral Home (4121 Falcon Pkwy, Flowery Branch, GA 30542). A funeral service was held on Thursday, March 20th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Memorial Park South Chapel (4121 Falcon Pkwy, Flowery Branch, GA 30542). An entombment was held on Thursday, March 20th 2025 at the Memorial Park South Cemetery (4121 Falcon Pkwy, Flowery Branch, GA 30542).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations may be made in Mrs. Karen Cornett's name to the Gwinnett Fire Employees' Benevolent Fund (by check to 408 Hurricane Shoals Road NE, Lawrenceville, GA 30046).
