He was predeceased by: his parents, Ovila LaRose and Beatrice LaRose; his wife Becky LaRose; his sons, Bruce and Ronald LaRose; his siblings, Ronald LaRose (Barbara) and Lucille "Lou" Gignac (Guy); and his nephew Bryan Gignac.

He is survived by: his son Willis LaRose; his niece Lori LaRose; and his nephews, Paul and Wayne Gignac. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to the "Burn the Mortgage Fund" at St. Matthew Catholic Church, 25 Wilkins Rd, SW, Winder, GA 30680.
