He was predeceased by: his parents, Leon Eugene Coombs and Faye Annette Mayberry Coombs; his brother Jerry Michael Coombs; his son Stephen Kirk Coombs; his stepson Bryan Turk; and his grandson Patrick Coombs.
He is survived by: his wife Rita Spriggs Coombs of Winder; his children, Christopher Michael Coombs (Rhonda) of Winder and Stephanie Lynn Hood (Aaron) of Winder; his grandchildren, David Coombs, Noah Coombs, Mackinlee Coombs, Kevin Coombs, Samantha Hroma, Michelle Snyder, Rachel Hood and Tristan Turk; his great grandchildren, Hadley Coombs and Nora Turk; and his brother Dwight Coombs of Robertsdale.
