Though Emma Laverne may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Emma Laverne touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her husband James Thompson Kingsbury III; her children, James Thompson Kingsbury IV and Jamie Laverne Houck; her parents, Aylett Tompkins and Emma Tompkins; and her siblings, Dorothy Layne and Roy Tompkins.
She is survived by: her daughter Jackie Benson (Ted) of Winder; her granddaughter Stacey Lynn Lennan; and her great grandchild Jameea Lashelle Gunn.
