He was predeceased by: his father Dick; and his son-in-law Justin Lunt. He is survived by: his wife Nancy; his siblings, Dairell W. Davis of Canton and Wanda Davis Mathias of Talking Rock; his children, Kimberly Davis of Ohio, Cheril Lunt of Winder, Pam Johnson (Jon), Kym Dye (Dustin) and Jason Gibbs (Grace); and his grandchildren, Madison, Hannah, Natalie, Alaina, Edith Mae, Cody, William, Dixie, Kaci, Thomas, Zachary, Samuel and Benjamin. He is also survived by fur-babies, many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
