She was predeceased by: her parents, John Franklin McElhannon and Mary Pauline Smith McElhannon; and her siblings, Runette Masey Perkins, Luther McElhannon, Theo Harley McElhannon, Harris Olein McElhannon, Johnnie Lou Summers and Bobby Gene McElhannon.

She is survived by: her nieces and nephews, Sue Houck (Charlie), Steve McElhannon (Kathy), Ralph McElhannon (Elizabeth), Larry McElhannon (Wendy) and Linda Edwards (Mark). She is also survived by many great nieces and nephews and their children.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee.
