He was predeceased by: his parents, D. J. Ellington, Sr. and Doris Peppers Ellington; his wife Barbara Nell Phillips Ellington; and his brother Ronald Ellington. He is survived by: his daughters, Donna Caldwell (Chuck) of Jefferson and Dana Maynard (Todd) of Winder; his grandchildren, Morgan Brookshire (Sean), Andrew Maynard (Brittany) and Sarah Caldwell; his great grandchildren, Ava Brookshire, Erin Brookshire and Will Brookshire; and his sister Ann Mote (Herman) of Winder.
