It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Christine Jones Sharpton of Winder, Georgia, who passed away on August 18, 2023, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Alvin Jones and Alma Jones; her husband Emory M. Sharpton, Jr.; her son Emory M. Sharpton, III; her sister Evelyn; her brother-in-law Marvin Farmer; her brother Alvin; and her sisters-in-law, Celia Jones and Pat Glen Farmer.
She is survived by: her daughters, Carol Wells (Gene) and Mary Alma Martini (Bob); her daughter-in-law Michelle Sharpton (Emory); and her grandchildren, Erica Wells, Haley Wells, Derek Wells (Elina), Jay Sharpton and Katie Sharpton. She is also survived by six nieces and nephews; and many great nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the First Christian Church of Winder, 275 North 5th Ave, Winder, GA 30680.
